Toyota solid axle backing plates (sometimes called dust shields) seem to become damaged with even the slightest touch, but removing them leaves your brake hard lines unsecured. On the other hand, traditional backing plate eliminators have no provision for keeping your brake hard lines in place to prevent damage. The solution is the Toyota Ultimate Backing Plate Eliminator which not only eliminates the backing plate but also includes an integrated brake line holder.
